A Somewhat Meta Comedy That Deserved To Be On The Streamer And Not A Theatrical Release

Watched The Bubble with Karen Gillan(Gunpowder Milkshake) as Carol Cobb, Pedro Pascal(The Mandalorian) as Dieter Bravo, Iris Apatow as Krystal Kris, Leslie Mann(Motherless Brooklyn) as Lauren Van Chance, Fred Armisen(Portlandia) as Darren Eigan, David Duchovny(The X-Files) as Dustin Mulray, Keegan Michael-Key(Playing With Fire) as Sean Knox, Kate Mackinnon(Bombshell) as Paula, Maria Baklova(Borat Subsequent Movie Film) as Anika, Peter Serafinowicz(The Tick) as Gavin, John Lithgow(The Tomorrow Man) as Tom and Featuring Cameos of John Cena(The Suicide Squad) as Steve, Daisy Ridley(Star Wars) as Kate, James MacAvoy(Glass) as Himself and Benedict Cumberbatch(Spider-Man:No Way Home) as Himself.

The film isn't any where the funny levels of Apatow's previous films but it does make fun of what was the worse times of people's lives funny while being quarantined also it does try its best to connect with it audience I think it also it did you give a sense of what like it was like to quarantined for people in Sports and Entertainment industry also this is a semi-mockumentary.

To Be On The Streamer And Not A Theatrical Release 7/10.

The distraction I needed

It feels like there is a lack of comedies recently - movies that set out to do nothing other than make you laugh. That was the goal here and I appreciate it. Karen Gillen is a charismatic lead rounded by a number of other familiar faces that it is a pleasure to see. This movie makes some strange choices, wastes some potential, and has a few jokes that crash rather than land but it was the distraction I needed. I liked it enough that I would probably watch it again at some point.

Surprisingly Entertaining

Taking a familiar concept and giving it a CGI twist, "The Bubble" on Netflix was an entertainer through and through. It delivered on several classic fantasy movie tropes that worked best as visual treats.

Judd Apatow directed this one, and wrote its screenplay along with Pam Brady. Their work more than set a fun-funny tone in the film. From start to finish, there was barely any 'breathing space' for slow sequences.

Great work on musical scoring by Michael Andrews and Andrew Bird. Ben Smithard did praiseworthy work on cinematography. Dan Schalk and James Thomas's editing was nifty. The set decoration and art direction teams certainly had their hands full - they did amazing work for this movie. Lynsey Moore's costume design brought with it a keen attention to detail. Much the same could be said for production design, haiur-makeup, stunts, sound, and VFX.

The crew who worked on "The Bubble" were certainly responsible for it not popping.

The movie had a curious roster of characters. Gavin, played by Peter Serafinowicz, was great. Bola, played by Samson Kayo, was superb. Gunther, played by Harry Trevaldwyn, was excellent. Pippa, played by Danielle Vitalis, was memorable. Carol Cobb, played by Karen Gillan, was splendid. Marti, played by Rob Delaney, was good.

Sean Knox, played by Keegan-Michael Key, was notable. Dieter Bravo, played by Pedro Pascal, was amazing. Lauren Van Chance, played by Leslie Mann, was quite good. Ronjon, played by Vir Das, was good. Anika, played by Maria Bakalova, was memorable. And so was Howie Frangopolous, played by Guz Khan. Krystal Kris, played by Iris Apatow, was quite good. Scott, played by Nick Kocher, was great. Zaki, played by Raphael Acloque, was good.

Dustin Mulray, played by David Duchovny, was a pleasant surprise. Darren Eigen, played by Fred Armisen, was quite good. Paula, played by Kate McKinnon, was great. Tom, played by John Lithgow, was noteworthy. Steve, played by John Cena, was memorable. James McAvoy, as himself, was great. Kate, played by Daisy Ridley, was another fun surprise. Mr. Best, played by Ross Lee, was stellar. Beck, as himself, added to the madness.

All other cast did wonderful work in "The Bubbble" streaming on Netflix.

The story featured a team of performing artists who were stuck in a hotel during the pandemic. They did their best to make use of the time in a 'pandemic bubble' to finish shooting a franchise film ("Cliff Beasts 6") rife with fantasy-action elements. Their aim was to meet the rising demand for fresh visual content and provide a 'distraction' in these trying times.

"The Bubble" contained plenty of hilarious moments, and was a comedy worth watching. It was enjoyable despite being corny. It was engaging despite being clichéd. All in all, this film made for a great time, thanks in large part to a competent BTS crew and a diverse well-balanced cast.

Just like Tropic Thunder, this is the kind of non-sense movie to watch before heading off to bed. Great copy, FREEMAN.

I don't recommend this one. Some funny jokes the first 10 minutes, then mediocre ones with some rare funny bits here and there. I'm someone who laughs easily and I felt bored 1h in. 1h30m in I couldn't take it anymore.

Netflix should pretend it didn't make something so that more people might accidentally watch it
